Carefree days of cycling. You can expect the following.
You wake up around 5am and get ready for the day ahead. Your bicycle is ready and checked from the day before. You enjoy coffee and head to the start line. Your luggage will be transferred to the end of the stage while you cycle.
Gather for a pre-race briefing and update on the road ahead. We set off at 6am (promptly) and enjoy the best roads in the Boland. Be sure to look up and soak up the atmosphere every now and then. You are part of something special. Enjoy it.
Cycle from 6am
You will be treated to frequent and well-stocked water points and friendly support staff. Share in a lovely breakfast at the first water point. Roads are clearly marked and safety vehicles follow. Your ride captains can assist with basic mechanical issues if need be.
Time to relax. Enjoy a cold beer at the finish. Go for a massage. The rest of the afternoon is yours to explore the Boland (or the West Coast, if you join us in May) – wine tours, craft beers, horse riding, zip lining, picnics, farm stalls, river cruises or a round of golf.
Dinner starts early. Enjoy craft beers, regional wine and local cuisine. You’ll be treated to something special. Some evenings will provide interaction with ride captains and race organisers. Thereafter off to bed for ample sleep before the next stage.
